Just then, a loud roaring cry echoed, sending birds scattering. A large black dragon, mostly related to the Eastern, or American, dragons flew overhead. It stayed above the trees before lowering down into the clearing. The gleaming black scales reflected the moonlight and its red eyes showed a lust for death and blood.
Carnage was a dragon born to a mortal mother. Born in a human form, he had eaten his mother shortly after birth. No one knows why he was not half, some believe it was a dragon egg implanted in his mother, others believe it was because he was a minor sin. Whatever it was, Carnage was named for the blood he shed. The dragon was nothing but a myth, hiding away unless there was a need to feed his hunger. People had grown to fear him, the familiar cry sent people into hiding until the sound of his wings beating were no longer heard.
Now, on the moonlit night, he landed. He bit the man that harmed Caius in half. Chewing the half he had snatched, he swallowed. Carnage looked at Chaos and little Lucia. He stood there, silent.
