Icy stumbled onto the bed tiredly, sighing. His cheeks were slowly growing a rosy color again. Gold sat next to him, worried. "Don't worry, you'll be okay," she said. Icy gave a tired moan.

"Not all elves are short." Cross corrected. "The typical elf that people usually depict is incorrect."

Yeah," Icy said. "Dad checked it. It was pretty high, like 102 degrees or something."

Alex had migrated to the living room, on his cell phone. He responded to the person on the other side of the line.

He shook his head with a small smile and rolled his eyes. He stopped in front of the garden.

Renea saw Alex. Quietly, she went up behind him and hugged him around the waist.

After finishing with his conversation with the person, he hung up. He smiled at Renea, holding her hands. "Ah, Love, good to see you,"

Icy was obedient. He sat by Gold, whom was laying down. When there was a beep, he took it out. It was the same temperature: 102. He coughed violently again.

"Oh that's good." he said. He turned and hugged her, kissing the crown of her head.

"Puking." Icy admitted. "I didn't tell Mom and Dad though."

"Icy!" Gold scolded.

Alex, remembering how his past wife had died, nodded. He didn't want it to repeat with Renea. Call it paranoia, put he didn't want to lose her after so long. "I'll come with you," he said.

"Sometimes," he said. "He walks over here and talks with me about his personal feelings, even some he kept from his current wife."

The boy opened his mouth for Kronos. The throat was red. Gold looked at the clock, wondering if the rumor spread already.

"Sure," he said.

Alexander Cross

Cross sighed, stopping by a bush and sitting on the bench. He was worn from work, the small wrinkles on his face a little more prominent than when he looked alive and young minutes ago. His hair was starting to show grays.
