She cradled the baby in her arms, the baby not whimpering anymore. Gabriel had let go of her for a moment to readjust his shirt, then placed his hand on her waist when he was done (so he could still support her). He seemed either reluctant to interact with the babies or pretending that the babies don't exist.

She lowered her arm that was cradling the child so that Altair could see the baby better. Clancy whined a little and shifted but did nothing else as he slept.
