She pulled out a chair so that the girl could stand on it and dragged it next to the stove. "Make sure you're not too close to the stove and fire, okay? Do you need help getting on the chair? I'll be right here as you stir."

"I'm going to ask your father if he's thirsty at least," Gold said, leaving. She took her cup with her, she was thirsty. Just as she left the kitchen, however, she fell, something catching her leg. She tried turn the best she could so that she wouldn't fall on her stomach but she only prevented that partially, falling pretty hard on her side. Her cup rolled away as she curled in obvious pain and gasped. To her, that pain was the worst pain she had ever felt.

Gold didn't respond, lying with her hand on her stomach. She started to grow more and more concerned about the babies. She was also too much in pain to even move at the moment. She didn't want to go to the hospital again, so she'd take the risk to wait it out.
