Pearle was at the far end of the cage, hugging his knees. He didn't bother looking up and he was shaking visibly. His mind was overrun by hysteria and fear.

Pearle looked over, the fear evident in his eyes. He slowly, cautiously, crawled over to Kronos. He was still shaking. As he was crawling, there was dried blood on his back from what his tattered shirt had been stained with and he was obviously weakened from the lack of nutrition and food. There were dark circles under his eyes, signaling that he hasn't slept for the longest time. His arms caved in and he fell onto his side just as he reached the exit of the cage.
