"Somehow my friend---We normally call him Project---transferred the wings from me to him. I was in a sort-of coma state so I didn't know. When the wings nearly took his life...we met at this timeless place. I spoke to him saying that he had a life to live and so much more to save than just me and I took back the wings and fused them with me. I remember him reaching out to me as the earth there crumbled beneath my feet and I sunk into the abyss and returned me to the real world. No one can take these wings from me now. My days are permanently numbered. The brighter my wings shine, the more life it saps from me but that's okay. I saved a friend."
