He started to fall asleep.

He knelt in front of the tiny dead dragon, the baby dragon's mane tangled in his fingers. The head was bashed in. It was freshly dead. He fought back the sorrow he felt despite it being immense. "I'm so sorry," he whispered to the corpse, "so sorry for taking a long time..."

"It's not like they're smart," Kristal chirped in. She approached them, her heels tapping. "They try to make peace, but they are only meant to die. They are beings from Hell, terrifying and evil. They represent nothing but evil. It's no wonder they're enslaved! They're pathetic! Majestic beings my ass!" The last words were directed at Yogan.

"King of dragons, who cares! You're all the same! Your children, they'll be the same! Your dragon mates, dead! Your soulmate? Dead! Dead! Dead!" She grabbed a fistful of Yogan's hair and yanked him back with surprising strength, "Why won't you show her what you're really like?!"
